If you find that your podcast's voice is creating unexpected pauses between words or sentences, try either of the solutions below:
Emotional Range
Both our stock and personally cloned AI voices can have a range of emotions and variability. Every voice is different, and while we set our stock voices to have a fairly consistent middle of the road emotional range, they will perform differently depending on the material they are reading. Sometimes, when trying to emote to heavily, they will add "dramatic pauses" which can create this effect.
To correct, go within your "Podcast Settings" and click on "Podcast Voice" and scroll down to "Voice Settings". Here you'll find the "Emotional Range" slider. Move this down a bit and generate a voice preview until you find the speaking delivery you're looking for, then click "Save.
** Note, lowering Emotional Range may also make your voice's delivery feel more monotone, so this may be a delicate balance.
Cloned Source Recording
If you've cloned your voice and changing the Emotional Range does not fix these pauses, you may need to re-record your cloned voice. Our AI will attempt to imitate any pattern it hears in your provided recording, including pauses, mispronounced words, ums and ers, etc. If any of these existed in the recording, they're likely to be replicated. Try creating a new voice clone, or reach out to our Support Team who can help replace your audio file for you.
